Consumers will receive the subsidy once the billing software is modified for incorporating the new changes. Until then, they are required to pay only 70 per cent of the bill. Domestic households may pay the electricity bill in 5 installments.

Meanwhile, R K Singh, Minister of Power and New and Renewable Energy Minister said the central government will investigate the reason behind the increase in electricity bills in several states. • In business information technology, billing software states to programs that manage the tracing of billable goods and services distributed to a client or set of customers. Some of the billing software also tracks labor hours for billing purposes. These kinds of programs systematize much of what used to be a time taking practice of organizing invoices or other documentation.
