Kerala records 4,642 new COVID-19 cases on December 11

Kerala recorded new 4,642 COVID-19 cases and 4,748 recoveries on December 11. With this the test positivity rate came down to 8.68 in the state.

Now the total number of coronavirus infection cases in the state is at 6,58,683 and the overall recoveries in the stands at 5,96,593. With 29 deaths, the total death toll is 2,556.

Out of the total number of positive cases, 73 people came from outside the state. 4,029 people contracted the virus through contact. The virus source of 496 cases has not been identified.

53,508 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. So far, 68,61,907 samples were tested in different priority groups.
