The police in Kerala have launched a special programme to provide all necessary assistance to children who are getting online education. The project, named e- Vidyarbham, will be implemented in cooperation with Janamaithri police.

The police aim to provide digital tools for online learning to 50,000 children through the scheme. State Police Chief Loknath Behra has urged police officers to make available a used or new smartphone, laptop, desktop, tablet, iPhone and iPad.

Computer literate police officers visit children’s homes in their spare time to assist those who are getting online education. This is in line with healthcare standards, including social distance. Instructions have been issued to all Station House Officers in this regard.
