Kerala minister, wife test positive for coronavirus

Kerala’s Industries Minister E.P. Jayrajan and wife Indira were diagnosed with novel coronavirus on September 11. They had been quarantined and under observation since a few days at their residence in Kannur.

The results for swabs collected from the couple arrived on September 11, indicating presence of the virus. For quality treatment, the minister and wife have been shifted to government medial college in Kannur, a spokesperson at the minister’s office said.

This is the second time a minister in the state has been infected with COVID-19, virus, the first being Finance Minister Thomas Isaac, who tested positive on September 6. Four staff members at the Minister Jayarajan’s office and few others might have had likewise contact, have been isolated for observation purposes.
