Jayam Ravi’s Bhoomi may have OTT release, makers remain tight-lipped

NIRMAL YESODA

‘Bhoomi’ is one of the most anticipated Tamil movies of the year, as it marks the reunion of Jayam Ravi and director Lakshman after Bhogan and Romeo and Juliet. Recently, several online news portals reported that the film will be released on Disney’s Hotstar as theaters in the country remain closed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The news shocked the fans of Jayam Ravi, as they were all set to watch Ravi’s 25th film in his career on the big screen. And now, his manager Shiyam Jack has confirmed that the plan to release the movie in the OTT platform has not been finalised, and that the details regarding the release of this flick will be unveiled by producer Sujatha Vijayakumar.

Bhoomi has already managed to create a huge pre-release hype, especially after the release of the ‘Thamizhan Endru Sollada’ song. The music of this song is composed by young musician D. Imman, while Anirudh Ravichander has lent the voice for this track.

Bhoomi is expected to be a drama thriller, and it will address some serious issues faced by farmers in the country. The teaser of the movie, which was released in March, had lots of actions in it, and indicated that the film will have all the ingredients for a box-office hit.

Apart from Jayam Ravi, Bhoomi also has Niddhi Agarwal and Sathish in other prominent roles. An official confirmation regarding the OTT release of the movie will be soon made by Sujatha Vijayakumar.
