Congratulating the actor, the makers said, “On this special day, Weekend Blockbusters is happy to announce our 6th production, titled Bismi Special with Nivin Pauly and Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead, produced by Sophia Paul.”

‘Gangster of Mundanmala’ is Nivin’s third production venture and is directed by newcomer Ronnie Manuel Joseph. The movie is going to be a joint production venture between Pauly Jr Pictures and Ravi Mathew Productions. The rest of the cast is yet to be revealed.

The script of the film is written by Aneesh Rajasekharan and Ronnie Manuel Joseph. Justin Varghese will compose the music for the movie.

Thuramukham with Rajeev Ravi

After collaborating with Geethu Mohandas for ‘Moothoon’, which garnered wide appreciation from the audience and film festival circuit across the world, Nivin Pauly joined with Rajeev Ravi for a period movie, titled, ‘Thuramukham’.

Rajeev Ravi is the director of critically acclaimed movies like ‘Annayum Rasoolum’, ‘Njan Steve Lopez’ and ‘Kammattipadam’. The filmmaker also pens the script for ‘Thuramukham’. The cast of the movie include Biju Menon, Indrajith Sukumaran, Nimisha Sajayan and Arjun Ashokan.

The film’s premise is about the famous protest against the ‘chappa’ system that was practiced in the Cochin harbour during the 1950s. As per the history, the despicable chappa system is a custom where copper coins were thrown to waiting workers which had resulted in police firing and three labourers in Mattancherry succumbed to the injuries.

Nivin said that ‘Thuramukham’ is going to be a totally different film like Moothon and it will be a classic, leaving a mark in Malayalam cinema history.
