Is Prakash Raj doing the role of Anant Nag in KGF 2?

The shooting of KGF: Chapter 2 is now progressing steadily, and recently Prakash Raj has also joined the shooting of the film. Prakash Raj tweeted one picture from the shooting set, and in the image, the actor can be seen donning salt and pepper look.

Interestingly, the setting where Prakash Raj was shooting seems very similar to the office of Malavika Avinash’s character in KGF Chapter 1, where Anant Nag narrates the story of Rocky Bhai, the dashing daredevil. As the image of Prakash Raj in a similar setting went viral, many people started claiming that he has replaced Anant Nag in this flick.

However, director Prashant Neel denied all these rumors, and he made it clear that Prakash Raj is playing a new character in this movie. He also added that the Mozhi star is not replacing Anant Nag.

It should be noted that Anant Nag’s character was very crucial in KGF: Part 1. Anant Nag’s powerful punch dialogues were well received by critics, and audiences expect the same kind of strong narration in the sequel as well.

KGF 2 is one of the most anticipated Pan-Indian movies in recent times. Rocking star Yash is playing the lead role, while the supporting star cast includes, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinithi Shetty, and Malavika Avinash in other prominent roles.

Earlier, Hombale Films, the makers of this movie had planned to release KGF 2 on October 23. However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, the shooting of the film was postponed, and as per the latest updates, the team is left with a 25-day schedule. An official announcement regarding the release date of the film will be made after the completion of the shooting.
