NIRMAL YESODA

In 2017, it was reported that hitmaker Joshiy has roped in Mohanlal to play the lead role in the movie Wayanadan Thampan. However, the film did not materialise, and it literally disappointed Mohanlal fans who were waiting for an ultimate mass entertainer.

Now, Mohanlal is joining hands with B Unnikrishnan in a movie named ‘Aaraattu’. The film’s script is penned by Udayakrishna, and some netizens have suggested that this film is based on the screenplay written for Wayanadan Thampan. However, close sources to the movie reveal that the film will be made with a fresh script.

According to a report published in the Times of India, Mohanlal will be seen playing the role of a man named Neyyattinkara Gopan in this film. The film is expected to be a high voltage commercial entertainer with adequate elements of comedy, action, and family emotions.

Aarattu reportedly revolves around the life of Gopan, who travels from Neyyatinkara to Palakkad for a deadly mission. The movie will be shot in Hyderabad and Palakkad.

Shradha Srinath is playing the role of the lady lead in this movie. Apart from Mohanlal and Shradha Srinath, the film also stars Nedumudi Venu, Siddique, Sai Kumar, Johnny Antony, and Vijayaraghavan in other prominent roles.
