Indian School Al Ghubra student Avighna Chinthala wins 5 medals at South Zone Aquatic Championship in India

Muscat: Representing the school and her region with remarkable skill and determination, Avighna secured an impressive haul of medals, further solidifying her place as a rising star in competitive swimming.

She won 3 Gold Medals in 200 meters Backstroke, 50 meters Freestyle and 100 meters Freestyle. She also bagged 2 Bronze Medals in 50-meter Backstroke and 100-meter Backstroke.

Avighna’s relentless dedication and rigorous training have been the foundation of her success. Competing against some of the best swimmers in the region, her exemplary performance in both freestyle and backstroke events showcases her versatility and resilience.
Winning three gold and two bronze medals is a testament to her hard work, focus, and passion for the sport. As she continues to make waves in swimming, her determination, passion, and talent will undoubtedly propel her towards even greater accomplishments.

The Principal Mrs Papri Ghosh and the members of the School Management Committee congratulated the Department of Physical Education on supporting young athletes like Avighna, who exemplify the school’s values of perseverance and sportsmanship, and wished Avighna to continue to pursue her sporting endeavours at international events and bring more laurels to the school in the upcoming competitions.
