IAS officers Renu Raj, Sriram Venkitaraman get married at Chottanikkara

Two Kerala cadre IAS officials on Thursday tied the knot in front of their immediate family members at a temple in Ernakulam.

Kochi: Health department joint secretary and Kerala Medical Services Corporation Managing Director Dr Sriram Venkitaraman and Alappuzha district collector Dr. Sriram Venkitaraman and Alappuzha district collector Dr Renu Raj got married in a function held at an auditorium at Chottanikkara on Thursday. Only close relatives and friends attended the function.

Renu and Sriram pursued Civil Services after completing their MBBS. Sriram cleared the Civil Service Examination with the second rank in 2012. He rose to fame while serving as Devikulam sub-collector Renu Raj cleared the Civil Service Examination in 2014 in her first attempt. She is a native of Kottayam. She also took strict action against illegal constructions and land encroachments while serving as a sub-collector in Devikulam. She started her career as Thrissur Sub-collector.
