Hyderabad wins by 69 runs against Punjab

Kings XI Punjab suffered a 69-run loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Dubai on October 8. Chasing 202, the team was all out for 132. This is their fifth loss in six matches played.

Nicholas Pooran at number four, who scored 77 off 37 balls (five fours, seven sixes), provided the lone resistance.

For SRH, Rashid Khan picked three wickets yielding just 12 runs in his four overs, while Khaleel Ahmed and T. Natarajan took two wickets each.

A 160-run opening partnership between captain David Warner (52) and Jonny Bairstow (97) helped Hyderabad reach 201/6 in 20 overs; this was their first 200-plus total this season. Punjab leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi dismissed both batsmen in one over. Bishnoi took three wickets while Arshdeep Singh two wickets.

Bairstow was the Player of the Match for his brilliant 97 off 55 balls (7 fours and 6 sixes).
