His Majesty the Sultan Welcomes Iranian President with Royal Ceremony at Al Alam Palace

Muscat : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik accorded an official welcome to the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, with a grand reception ceremony held at the historic Al Alam Palace on the latter’s arrival in the Sultanate.

The occasion was marked by traditional Omani pageantry. The outer courtyard of the palace was adorned in ceremonial elegance, with members of the Royal Cavalry forming a stately welcome corridor as the presidential motorcade approached.

Upon arrival, President Pezeshkian was received by His Majesty the Sultan, who extended a warm welcome and conveyed best wishes for a fruitful and pleasant visit for the Iranian delegation.

Upholding the customs of state protocol, His Majesty accompanied President Pezeshkian to the podium of honor, where the national anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran was played, followed by a 21-gun salute in tribute to the visiting leader.

The two heads of state then exchanged greetings with members of each other’s official delegations. The ceremony was attended by a number of Their Highnesses, ministers, and senior military officials from both Oman and Iran.
