His Majesty the Sultan hosts dinner in honour of Angolan President

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik hosted an official dinner at Al Alam Palace guesthouse today, in honour of President Joao Lourenco of the Republic of Angola and his accompanying delegation, on the occasion of his official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.

Prior to the dinner, His Majesty the Sultan and his spouse exchanged commemorative gifts with the President of Angola and his spouse.

His Majesty presented President Lourenco with an Omani sword, while the President and his spouse reciprocated the gesture, presenting His Majesty with an artistic painting and a symbolic statue of the first Angolan queen.
The official dinner was attended by some Royal family members, ministers, undersecretaries and advisors.

Meanwhile, Her Highness the Honourable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed Al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman hosted a dinner for the Spouse of the Angolan President, in the presence of some female invitees from both sides.
