MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Wednesday issued seven Royal Decrees.
The first decree ratifies the state’s general budget for the fiscal year 2025.
The second decree is the issuance of Banking Law.
The third decree is the issuance of the Central Bank of Oman System.
The fourth decree appoints His Highness Sayyid Taimur bin Asaad bin Tariq Al Said as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Oman with the same rank and financial allocations. The membership of the Board of Directors shall include the Minister of Economy (Deputy Chairman), the Governor of the Central Bank of Oman, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, the Chairman of the Financial Services Authority, Rawan bint Ahmed bin Thabit Al Busaidi, Dr. Saeed bin Mubarak bin Saeed Al Muharrami, Dr. Khalfan bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Barwani, and Dr. Jameel bin Darwish bin Jameel Al Shaqsi.
Decree five appoints Ahmed bin Jaafar bin Salem Al-Muslimi as Governor of the Central Bank of Oman, with the rank of Minister.
Decree six amends some provisions of Royal Decree No. 64/83 establishing the College of Banking and Financial Studies.
Decree Seven: Appointing Hussein bin Ali bin Abdul Latif as an advisor in the Private Office with the rank of Minister, and appointing Dr. Sultan bin Ya’rub bin Qahtan Al Busaidi as an advisor in the Private Office with the rank of Minister.
