HH Sayyid Shihab Arrives in Iraq to Represent Oman at Key Arab Summits

Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tariq Al Said arrived in the Republic of Iraq on Thursday evening to participate in the 34th Arab Summit and the 5th Arab Economic and Social Development Summit.

Upon arrival, His Highness was warmly received at the airport by His Excellency Fuad Hussein, Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with a number of senior Iraqi officials.

Among those welcoming the Omani delegation were:

  • H.E. Dr. Hamid Al-Ghazi, Secretary-General of the Iraqi Council of Ministers
  • H.E. Qais Saad Al-Amri, Iraq’s Ambassador to Oman
  • H.E. Ambassador Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Rahbi, Oman’s Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League
  • The Chargé d’Affaires of Oman’s Embassy in Baghdad
  • Diplomatic staff and other Iraqi dignitaries

His Highness’s participation reflects Oman’s ongoing commitment to fostering regional dialogue and strengthening cooperation within the framework of the Arab League, particularly on political, economic, and social development matters affecting the Arab world.
