Gulf Medical University Hosts Transformative Career Fair & Industry Partners Meet 2025

Ajman: Gulf Medical University (GMU) cemented its role as a regional leader in healthcare education and innovation with the successful hosting of the GMU Career Fair & Industry Partners Meet 2025. Under the theme “Empowering the Next Generation of Healthcare Leaders,” the event drew over 90 leading healthcare organizations and brought together students, alumni, academics, and industry professionals.

The event offered a vibrant platform for aspiring healthcare professionals to engage directly with recruiters, explore career pathways, and gain practical knowledge through workshops and networking sessions. It underscored GMU’s continued focus on aligning academic training with industry needs.

The fair was inaugurated by Dr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President of Thumbay Group, who emphasized the urgent need for tech-savvy, ethical, and globally competent healthcare professionals. “At GMU, we are not just imparting education — we are building future-ready leaders for a rapidly evolving healthcare ecosystem,” he said.

Panel discussions featured GMU’s leadership, including Prof. Manda Venkatramana, Acting Chancellor, and Prof. Hesham Marei, Acting Vice Chancellor – Academics. Topics included healthcare education reforms, career readiness, and industry expectations. Workshops led by HR professionals focused on resume building, interview skills, and professional growth.

Interactive booths showcased top healthcare providers such as Aster, NMC, King’s College Hospital Dubai, American Hospital, Julphar, and Abbott. Public sector participants included Emirates Health Services (EHS), Dubai Police, and Ajman Municipality, demonstrating a strong public-private partnership.

The Industry Partners Meet highlighted GMU’s forward-looking initiatives, such as integrating AI into curricula, launching entrepreneurship incubators, and establishing global academic partnerships. These efforts, supported by the university’s state-of-the-art Thumbay Medicity campus, reaffirm GMU’s position as a hub for healthcare innovation in the region.
