Government Communication Centre discusses how to empower Oman’s youth for national development

Muscat : The session, led by Ibrahim bin Salem Al Salmi, Director General of the Government Communication Centre, emphasized the importance of positive interaction between youth and state institutions.

Al Salmi provided a comprehensive overview of the Government Communication Centre’s mission, focusing on its pivotal role in bridging communication between government bodies and the public. The session also explored the evolution of government media in Oman, underscoring the growth and development of media practices within state institutions.

Additionally, the dialogue addressed the importance of creative content in amplifying media messages and fostering effective communication. The discussion delved into the evolving impact of social media platforms on society, offering a balanced perspective on their positive and negative effects, and stressing the need for a wise approach to harness their benefits.
The session reaffirmed the crucial role of Omani youth in driving national development, especially within the media sector. Participants were encouraged to actively contribute to various fields of development, with an emphasis on aligning their efforts with Oman Vision 2040.
