GDRFA Dubai rings in the New Year with gratitude for the workforce

Dubai: The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai wrapped up its 2025 New Year celebrations with a heartfelt expression of appreciation for the city’s workforce.

The event showcased 17 captivating performances from around the world, including acrobatic displays that added an exciting flair to the celebrations on December 31. The grand finale, a dazzling fireworks show at midnight, lit up the Dubai skyline, symbolising a fresh and hopeful start to the new year.
Big prizes

The GDRFA Dubai team organised the event prioritising the safety and comfort of guests. More than 100 volunteers from the Directorate contributed their time and effort, while security was ensured by four police patrols and 80 security personnel.
Emergency medical teams, ambulance services, and firefighters were also on hand, ready to respond to any situation. To further elevate the attendee experience, a variety of food and beverage kiosks, along with logistical service points, were available throughout the venue. Dubai Municipality’s cleaning services maintained a pristine environment, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere for everyone.
