Fresh infections see a dip in UAE

Our Correspondent

The UAE’s dedication to do massive testing coupled with proper treatment was visible when the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) announced on Sunday that 701 patients have made full recovery, raising the total number of recovered cases to 27,462.

One death was reported taking the total number of COVID-related deaths to 289. According to the ministry, only 304 new cases were reported in the past 24 hours. This is the second lowest figure reported so far; 300 infections reported on April 8 is the lowest.

The total number of confirmed infections in the country now is 42,294.

The new cases were detected after the ministry conducted over 43,000 tests across the country as part of its plan to widen the scope of examinations.
