Fire in Dubai Marina Residential Tower Contained; 3,820 Evacuated Safely

Dubai: A fire that broke out in a 67-storey residential building in Dubai Marina late Friday evening was successfully extinguished within six hours by Dubai Civil Defence teams. Authorities confirmed that the fire was brought under control with no reported injuries.

As firefighters battled the blaze, emergency response teams safely evacuated all residents from the high-rise building. The operation focused on protecting lives and preventing the fire from spreading to nearby structures.

A nearby resident reported that, by 1:30am, the intensity of the fire had begun to reduce, and falling debris was visible. “It looks like Civil Defence is getting it under control,” he said.

Massive Evacuation Effort

At 1:44am, the Dubai Media Office (DMO) announced via X (formerly Twitter) that all residents had been safely evacuated and that operations were ongoing to fully contain the fire.

By 2:09am, DMO confirmed the presence of ambulance teams and medical staff on-site, offering both medical and psychological support to the evacuated residents.

At 2:21am, officials confirmed that 3,820 people had been safely evacuated from 764 apartments in the building. DMO reiterated that there were no injuries.

By 2:34am, Civil Defence teams continued efforts to ensure the fire was fully extinguished and the building declared safe.

Authorities praised the swift and coordinated response, which ensured the safety of all occupants and minimized damage.
