Abu Dhabi: Etihad Airways has announced significant disruptions to its flight operations to and from Pakistan on May 9 and May 10, 2025, due to the ongoing closure of Pakistani airspace amid escalating tensions with India.
Flight Cancellations and Adjustments
On May 9, Etihad cancelled all services to Pakistan, including routes to Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore. For May 10, the airline plans to operate select afternoon flights on the following routes, subject to airspace availability:
EY300 / EY301 – Abu Dhabi ↔ Islamabad
EY294 / EY295 – Abu Dhabi ↔ Karachi
EY288 / EY289 – Abu Dhabi ↔ Lahore
However, evening services on May 10, including EY296 / EY297 (Abu Dhabi ↔ Karachi), EY302 / EY303 (Abu Dhabi ↔ Islamabad), and EY284 / EY285 (Abu Dhabi ↔ Lahore), have been cancelled.
Passenger Advisory
Etihad Airways advises passengers transiting through Abu Dhabi and connecting to cancelled flights to refrain from traveling from their original departure points unless they have alternative onward travel arrangements from Abu Dhabi. The airline is actively assisting affected passengers with rebooking options and alternative travel plans.
