Ajman: As part of its proactive efforts to ensure public safety during the Eid Al Adha holidays, Ajman Police have launched a comprehensive traffic management plan that includes the deployment of 55 patrols across the emirate.
The initiative, led by the Traffic and Patrols Department, aims to maintain smooth traffic flow, reduce congestion, and prevent reckless driving during the busy holiday period. The patrols will be active 24/7, with increased presence in high-traffic areas.
Major Rashid Humaid bin Hindi, Deputy Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department, stated that the traffic plan will come into effect starting the Thursday before Eid — a time when residents typically flock to markets, prayer areas, and shopping centers. The operation will continue throughout the holiday to safeguard road users and support the festive atmosphere.
Special attention will be given to areas around mosques, Eid prayer grounds, entertainment venues, and major commercial hubs to ensure pedestrian and vehicular safety. The campaign also focuses on minimizing traffic violations and preventing accidents, particularly those caused by speeding, inattentive driving, or pedestrian negligence.
Major bin Hindi emphasized the importance of road safety and urged all motorists — especially young drivers — to respect traffic regulations, adhere to speed limits, and maintain safe distances.
Ajman Police encouraged the public to cooperate with law enforcement and report any unsafe behavior to help maintain a secure and joyful environment for all residents during the Eid celebrations.
