Dubai: Temporary Traffic Diversion Near Dubai Harbour from July 13, RTA Announces

Dubai ∙ The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a temporary traffic diversion at the intersection of King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street and the road leading to Dubai Harbour, starting Sunday, July 13, 2025, in line with the commencement of bridge construction works in the area.

In a social media update, RTA confirmed that the diversion will remain in effect until project completion, although no specific end date has been announced.

Key Route Changes:

  • Left turns and main lanes on King Salman Street — for vehicles traveling from the Marina area towards Jumeirah and Dubai Harbour — will be closed.
  • Traffic will be redirected through a detour route:
    • From Al Marsa Street
    • To Al Khayay Street
    • Then via Al Naseem Street
    • Before merging back onto King Salman Street

Advisory to Motorists:

RTA has urged drivers to:

  • Plan trips ahead of time
  • Start early to avoid delays
  • Avoid peak traffic hours where possible

The authority also advised all road users to follow directional signs and real-time traffic updates to ensure a safer and smoother commute during the diversion period.

The bridge construction project forms part of broader infrastructure enhancements aimed at improving connectivity to Dubai Harbour, one of the city’s premier waterfront destinations.
