Devoted dog spent days waiting outside Turkish hospital for his human

Pets are everything you could ever ask for in life. Consider the story of this devoted pet dog from Istanbul called Boncuk. Outside a hospital in northern Turkey, a dog spent days waiting as her sick owner was receiving treatment. Cemal Senturk is Boncuk’s owner

The pet, Boncuk (Bon-DJUK), which means bead, followed the ambulance that took Cemal to hospital in the Black Sea city of Trabzon on January 14. Thereafter, Boncuk visited the facility daily, Associated Press reports citing private news agency DHA.

Senturk’s daughter, Aynur Egeli, said she would take Boncuk home but the dog would repeatedly run off and return to the hospital.

“She comes every day around 9am and waits until night. She doesn’t go in. When the door opens she pokes her head inside,” Muhammet Akdeniz, a security guard of the hospital, was quoted as saying by DHA.

Boncuk reunited with Senturk earlier this week when he was pushed outside in a wheelchair for a brief meeting with his pet dog. “She’s very used to me. And I miss her, too, constantly,” Senturk told DHA.

Cemal Senturk was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday and returned home with Boncuk.
