Yes sir. One of the major factors for the failure of students is their inability to make proper decisions about their goal, learning process, and career options. Most of them depends on their parents for future plan. At school also less importance is given for value inculcation, character building and developing leadership skills. Teachers hurry up to cover the syllabus, even by borrowing extracurricular periods including physical education . All talk about holistic development but in reality ,concentrating only on academics to bring Laurel to schools by 100% results and ranks.

From schools ,children should be given guidance and encouragement to be good citizens to lead their life and hence our country. We have to teach children that the best decision makers are people who can combine logic, problem analysis, and intuition to come up with the correct decision.

Being a good listener they must be able to hear and take into account other people’s opinions when making decisions.

They must know their priorities or values in order to choose a good or “correct” path.Students should have an open mind. Good decision makers are open to other people’s views and ways of thinking rather than being stuck in one way of doing things. They shouldn't be adamant but accept good ideas.

Self-esteem and self-respect can positively impact a teen’s decision-making process.

At school we should

a.Encourage teens to voice their opinions.

B. Help teens set realistic goals.

C.Show them that you believe that they can reach their goals.

D.Be supportive when they make mistakes.
E. Give activities to develop thinking, analytical, creative, and collaborative skills.

At home parents also should encourage them to develop decisions making, leadership qualities ,and never should impose opinions on them.Over pampering alsoshould be avoided.

When both parents and teachers practice good self-esteem building, students can grow into healthier adults.
