DC beats CSK by 44 runs

Delhi Capitals beat Chennai Super Kings by 44 runs on Day 7 of the Dream11 IPL 2020 match at Dubai. With the win, Delhi Capitals now tops the points table at 4.

After being sent in to bat by CSK captain M.S. Dhoni, DC scored 174 for 3. In reply CSK found itself restricted to 131 for 7 in 20 overs. While it is the second consecutive win for DC, it is the second defeat for CSK after losing to Rajasthan Royals.

Man of the Match Prithvi Shaw top-scored with 64 while Kagiso Rabada starred with the ball by picking up three wickets for 26 runs for Delhi Capitals.

Young Prithvi Shaw made 64 off 43 balls in the opening company of Dhawan (35 off 27 balls, 3 fours, 1 six) to provide a superb start for DC.

South African Faf du Plessis was the top-scorer with 43 for CSK while Dhoni was out for 15 off 12 balls. Dhoni had walked in at No.6 but it could not save CSK which needed 75 in the last four overs.

Chennai Super Kings wore black armbands in memory of cricketer Dean Jones and singer SP Balasubrahmanyam.
