Curtain rises for Insight’s HALF short film festival

The International Haiku Amateur Little Film Festival (HALF) organised by Insight the creative group, is to be held on September 4 to September 13. This is the 10th instalment of the festival.

Over 40 short films were selected from across the globe for the festival.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organisers decided to conduct the program virtually.

The program will begin on September 4 and continue till September 11, 2020 with retrospectives of Best entries from previous festivals and Best Insight Films shown earlier.

On September 12 and 13, there will be screening of selected entries followed by discussion. Closing ceremony and giving away of awards including the Tenth Golden Screen Award and runner up awards will be held on September 13.

Insight is a collective of creative artists, based in Palakkad, who believes in the humongous potential of the short film as a medium of communication and as a tool of creativity.

Haiku is a name originated in Japan, which means short poems. However in Insight’s context, it is defined as any short form of aesthetic creativity.
