COVID-19: Kerala reports 5,771 cases on Jan 28, test positivity rate 10%

Kerala reported 5,771 new Covid-19 cases and 5,594 recoveries on January 28, informed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in a press meet. 5,228 cases were reported through contact. Out of this the infection source of 410 cases remains unknown.

Nineteen deaths were also confirmed of Covid-19 on this day. At present, there are 72,392 active Covid cases in the state. The daily cases are surging in the state and the test positivity rate is above 10 percent on most of the days, he added.
