COVID-19: India crosses 18-lakh mark, recoveries surge to 11.86 lakh

Yet again India recorded the single day spike of 52,972 positive cases and 771 deaths in the last 24 hours. Now the total tally is at 18,03,696 including. 5,79,357active cases, said the Union health ministry.

1,186,203 people have been cured/discharged/migrated so far, while 38,135 people succumbed.

This is the fifth consecutive day that COVID-19 have increased by more than 50,000 in the country.

More than 11.86 patients have recovered and the recovery rate stood at 65.75 percent.

India has tested a total of 2,02,02,858 samples so far. The positivity rate – percentage of patients who have tested positive for coronavirus – stood at 13.90 per cent.
