COVID-19 deaths cross 1,000 in Tamil Nadu

With 68 more people dying of COVID-19 in Tamil Nadu, the number of deaths from the infection touched 1,025 on June 27. COVID-19 was confirmed in 3,713 people on the day.
The total number of infected persons in the State reached 78,335 with Chennai alone reporting 1,929 new COVID-19 cases. A total of 51,619 people were confirmed with the infection in Chennai.
The only consolation was the news that 2,737 people were cured of COVID-19 on the day.
