Seventy-two of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the State. A total of 4,478 people were infected through contact. Contact source for 622 is not clear. Kottayam 733, Thrissur 689, Ernakulam 442, Thiruvananthapuram 306, Kollam 413, Pathanamthitta 304, Malappuram 355, Palakkad 162, Alappuzha 310, Wayanad 273, Kozhikode 257, Kannur 114, Idukki 100 and Kasaragod 20 were affected by the disease.
Forty-six health workers were affected by the disease. Health workers in nine each in Ernakulam and Thrissur, Kannur 7, Palakkad 6, Pathanamthitta 5, Thiruvananthapuram 3, Malappuram, Wayanad 2, Kollam, Idukki and Kozhikode 1 each were affected.
The test results of 5,066 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 290, Kollam 863, Pathanamthitta 188, Alappuzha 233, Kottayam 440, Idukki 72, Ernakulam 416, Thrissur 706, Palakkad 338, Malappuram 714, Kozhikode 487, Wayanad 162, Kannur 115 and Kasaragod 42 were negative today. With this, 57,757 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 6,16,666 people have so far been freed from COVID-19.
There are currently 3,04,165 people under surveillance in various districts of the State. Of these, 2,90,987 are under home / institutional quarantine and 13,178 in hospitals. A total of 1357 people were admitted to hospitals.
There are 12 new hotspots. Alakkod (Cantonment Zone Ward 12), Irattiyar (13, 14), Purappuzha (Sub Ward 10, 11), Mile (7), Velinalloor (Sub Wards 6, 10, 12) and Kalluvathukal (Sub Ward 4) in Idukki District. , Vechoochira in Pathanamthitta district (sub wards 5, 6, 7, 11, 13, 14), Adoor municipality (sub wards 4, 26), Chittaur (sub ward 13), Kottathara in Wayanad district (sub ward 4), Kaiparambu in Thrissur district ( 16) and Mudumalai (14) in Palakkad district are the new hotspots.
Three areas have been excluded from the hotspot. With this, there are a total of 442 hotspots.
