COVID-19 confirmed for 2.450 people in Kerala on Sept. 14; 2,110 cured

COVID-19 has been confirmed for 25,40 people in Kerala on September 14. Fifteen deaths were confirmed due to the viral infection. The test results of 2,110 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative.

The district-wise of the infected are Malappuram 482, Kozhikode 382, ​​Thiruvananthapuram 332, Ernakulam 255, Kannur 232, Palakkad 175, Thrissur 161, Kollam 142, Kottayam 122, Alappuzha 107, Idukki 58, Kasaragod 56, Wayanad 20 and Pathanamthitta 16.

 

The dead were George (62) of Thazhekode, Malappuram; Gangadharan (65) of Palakkad;Aisha (60) of Malappuram; Baburajan (56) of Kottarakkara, Kollam; Sasidharan (65) of Kuzhimanthikadavu, Kollam; Kannappan (37), a native of Kozhinjampara, Palakkad; P.V. Paulose (79), a native of Kaninad, Ernakulam; Ibrahim (58) from Thirunavaya, Malappuram, Muraleedharan (65) from Vadakara, Kozhikode; Thankamani (65) from Alathur, Palakkad; Akshaya (13) from Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram; Ashokan, (60) of Sasthamcotta; Narayanan Acharya, (68), of Neeleswaram Kasaragod; Rajan, (59) of Neyyattinkara, Thiruvananthapuram, who died on August 26, and Sicily (60) of Puzhanad, Thiruvananthapuram. This brings the total death toll to 454. Further deaths will be confirmed after NIV testing in Alappuzha.

 

Of those diagnosed with the disease 34 were from foreign countries and 73 from other states. A total of 2,346 people were infected through contact. Sixty-four health workers were affected by the disease, while 23 INHS employees in Ernakulam district were also affected.

 

There are currently 2,05,158 people under surveillance in various districts of the State. Of those under observation, 1,82,241 are under home / institutional quarantine and 22,917 are under observation in hospitals. A total of 2213 people were admitted to hospitals on the day.

 

A total of 22,279 samples were tested in the last 24 hours while 21,52,585 samples have so far been sent for testing, including routine samples, Airport Surveillance, Pooled Sentinel, CBNAT, Trunat, CLIA and Antigen Assay. As part of Sentinel Surveillance, 1,89,265 samples were sent for testing from priority groups such as health workers, guest workers, and individuals with greater social contact.

 

There are 17 new hotspots and nine areas have been excluded from the hotspot. With this, there are currently 615 hotspots.
