CM Pinarayi hands over portfolios of Saji Cheriyan to three ministers

 

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan handed over the portfolios which were held by the resigned minister Saji Cheriyan. After the resignation, the ministries had fallen upon the CM

Ministers VN Vasavan, Mohammed Riyas and V Abdurahiman will bear the additional charges of culture and film, youth affairs and fisheries respectively.

Earlier, the CPM state secretariat had decided that no new minister was required as of now. The move also maintains the hope for Cheriyan to return if court acquits him of the charges under Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act.
