CBSE denies result will be declared on July 11, 13

The Central Board of School Education (CBSE) on July 9 denied releasing any notice regarding declaration of Class 10 and 12 results on July 11 and 13 and termed the news ‘fake’. Rama Sharma PRO CBSE said.

“It has come to the notice of the Board that there is a fake message being circulated with regard to the declaration of class X and XII Board Results 2020. It is hereby clarified that the Board has not yet announced the result dates. Public is hereby advised to await the announcement on CBSE official website or social media account,” CBSE said in a statement.

The board earlier announced that the CBSE Class 10 and 12 results would be declared by July 15 based on the new assessment scheme. However, on Thursday, a notification started circulating in social media that considering the high demand and the remaining admission process of students in various universities and colleges, the CBSE along with the Ministry of HRD will release the results of students of Class 10 and 12 as early as possible.

Following the fake news going viral, many anxious students and parents reached out to the board via social media platforms to verify the details of the notification. Once the situation went out of control, the board issued a clarification from its official twitter handle calling the news fake.
