Bollywood star Rekha refuses to undergo COVID-19 test

It was a few days back that Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials sealed Bollywood actress Rekha’s bungalow after her security guard tested positive for coronavirus. Later, several reports claimed that four other security guards in the area had also tested positive for COVID-19. As scare loomed up, BMC authorities decided to test Rekha, but the actress apparently refused to undergo any tests.

According to a report published in ABP News, Rekha’s manager Farzana had given instructions to health authorities and BMC officials to ring her up before planning to conduct tests on the veteran actress. However, when officials contacted Farzana, she revealed that Rekha is perfectly fine, and there is no need to do any tests.

Farzana also said that Rekha does not want anyone to test her, as she has quarantined herself over the past few weeks, without getting into contact with anyone.

As the actress continued her adamant stand, BMC officials decided to sanitize her house. Shockingly, the actress did not allow the health officials to enter her bungalow, and they were compelled to sanitize Rekha’s home from outside.

A civic official who wished to stay anonymous told the Hindustan Times that Rekha did not want BMC to test her, instead, she will get a test done on her own and will submit the report to the officials.

Meanwhile, top Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, were currently tested positive for coronavirus, and they are currently undergoing treatment at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.
