Around 7.4lakh COVID-19 cases in India

India’s COVID-19 cases increased to 7.4lakh on Wednesday, while the death toll climbed to 20,462. Nearly 23,000 new cases and 482 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.

Amid the spike in cases, the government has said the number of coronavirus infections and fatalities per million population in the country is= among the lowest in the world.

More than 11.85 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 5,42,706 have died. Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China.
