Apple expands UAE footprint with fifth store in Al Ain

UAE: The announcement highlights the tech giant’s growing commitment to the UAE, where it has significantly increased investments and fostered local innovation over the past decade.

Apple’s newest store in Al Ain, a city renowned for its lush oases and cultural heritage, promises an engaging shopping and learning experience, showcasing the company’s latest technologies and products.

Apple’s investments in the UAE have surpassed Dh6 billion over the last five years, supporting over 38,000 jobs through direct employment, collaborations with Emirati companies, and the booming iOS app economy.
The Emirati developer community has thrived under Apple’s support, with app creators earning nearly Dh5 billion from App Store sales, a staggering 750% growth since 2019. Developers are now leveraging Apple’s newest platform, visionOS, to design immersive experiences powered by the revolutionary Apple Vision Pro spatial computer.

Apple has steadily expanded its presence since its UAE debut with an online store in 2011 and physical stores in 2015. Existing locations, including Apple Yas Mall and Apple Mall of the Emirates, have become key destinations for the latest innovations, such as the iPhone 16 lineup, advanced Macs, and the ultra-thin iPad Pro.

The upcoming Al Ain store is set to further bolster Apple’s connection to the UAE, a country increasingly recognized as a hub for technological progress and innovation.
