Akshay Kumar’s Laxmmi Bomb title changed to Laxmii

The title of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Laxmmi Bomb has been changed after reports surfaced that the makers had received a legal notice from Shri Rajput Karni Sena. The new title of the film is reported to be Laxmii.

According to the legal notice, the film’s title was considered to be disrespectful to Goddess Laxmi, thereby hurting Hindu community’s sentiments. The notice also demanded a change in the film’s title and said that the current one send out a wrong message to the society.

The film, directed by Raghava Lawrence, premieres on Disney+Hotstar on November 9. It stars Kiara Advani as the female lead.

Apart from Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani, Laxxmi Bomb also stars Ayesha Raza Mishra, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharad Kelkar, and Tarun Arora in other prominent roles.

The makers had initially planned a grand theatrical release for Laxxmi Bomb. However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, they decided to release the movie on Disney+Hotstar on November 9.
