NIRMAL YESODA
Jackie Shroff was once one of the biggest superstars in Bollywood, and he was part of several blockbuster Hindi movies as the solo lead. Post-2000s, Jackie lost his star power, and he started doing powerful character roles. The actor had also made his mark in the South Indian film industry, and his last movie as the main antagonist was in the Kollywood movie ‘Bigil’ where he shared screen space with Thalapathy Vijay.
According to the latest reports, Jackie will be next acting in a movie with none other than Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role. Sources close to the movie reveal that the makers of Annaatthe have approached Jackie, and the actor has apparently given a positive nod to them.
Jackie Shroff will be seen playing the role of a powerful villain in this film, and the on-screen clashes between the Bollywood star and Rajinikanth will surely excite the audiences.
Annaatthe is being directed by commercial movie-making specialist Siruthai Siva. Apart from Rajinikanth and Jackie Shroff, the film also stars Meena, Khushbu Sundar, Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Prakash Raj, Soori, Sathish, and Vela Ramamoorthy in other prominent roles.
D Imman has composed the music of this film, while the camera is cranked by Vetri. Ruben will be editing this movie, which is being bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran in the banner of Sun Pictures.
The shooting of Annaatthe has been halted now due to the coronavirus outbreak. Earlier, the makers were planning to release the movie for Diwali, and now they have pushed it to Pongal 2021.
