Actor Prithviraj tests positive for COVID-19

Actor Prithviraj has been confirmed of COVID-19 during the shooting of his new film Jana Gana Mana. The director of the movie Dijo Jose was also confirmed of the virus. The shooting of the film has been temporarily stopped after the two contracted the disease. Other actors and the crew member will quarantine.

Earlier Prithviraj, along with 58 crew members of Malayalam film Aadujeevitham was stranded in Jordan’s Wadi Rum desert for almost three months when the whole world went to an unprecedented lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic. The 37-year-old actor returned to Kochi on May and went into quarantine as per government mandate. After quarantine, the actor started working in new projects.

Jana Gana Mana is directed by Dijo Jose after ‘Queen’. The shooting of the film was progressing in Kochi. Suraj Venjaramoodu plays another important role in the film.

Prithviraj was last seen in Ayyappanum Koshiyum along with Biju Menon, which was a blockbuster hit. The movie was directed by late Sachy.
