Abu Dhabi Police urges public to use ‘Police Station in your Phone’ service

Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi Police have urged the public to take advantage of the convenient “Police Station in Your Phone” service, accessible through the MOI UAE app, for reporting incidents and filing police reports.

The service streamlines the reporting process into simple steps, beginning with downloading the app onto a mobile device.

After installation, users should navigate to the “Police Station in Your Phone” service within the app and select “Criminal Reports” for incidents within the UAE. Next, users are prompted to choose the appropriate category, specify the relevant police station, and provide the location of the incident.

The third step involves entering personal information, including the user’s name, providing a detailed description of the incident, and attaching any available supporting documents. Once the details are filled in, users can submit the report.

The fourth step allows users to track the status of their report by selecting the “Follow Up on Reports” section, where they can check for any updates or notes from authorities.

In the fifth step, users can monitor their report’s progress and respond to queries from the investigating officer. If the case is escalated to the Public Prosecution, users will receive an SMS notification with the case number.

The “Police Station in Your Phone” service is a groundbreaking initiative by the Ministry of Interior (MOI), in line with its digital transformation strategy. By integrating multiple services into one smart platform, the initiative improves efficiency and accessibility through the MOI UAE smart app.

Simplify communication

The innovative service is designed to simplify communication with police stations across the country, allowing users to submit reports from anywhere without needing to visit in person. It supports the ministry’s goal of enhancing the modernisation of police operations, offering a high-quality, efficient service that benefits users and minimises physical visits.

The launch of this service is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to expand its portfolio of smart and automated services, improving service quality and customer satisfaction. The initiative not only reduces paperwork and physical visits but also contributes to environmental sustainability by cutting down on travel time and reducing the carbon footprint.
