KOCHI: Confusion prevailed at the district collectorate on Monday after an elderly man turned up at the office with a gun. The 85-year-old man was handed over to the police who found that his gun was loaded.
Police however said the man claimed that he had gone to the collectorate to renew the licence of his gun. According to police, he had applied for the renewal and wanted to check the status of the same. He didn’t know that it was not necessary to bring the gun for the same. Police said there was no complaint against him , so he was let off without registering a case. Thrikkakara police said they have seized the gun for checking its documentation.
