Eight hundred and twenty-one 821 people were confirmed with COVID-19 on July 19 in Kerala. Of the total 629 got the infection through contact and the source of infection for 43 people are not known. Two people also died due to complications from the viral infection.
The district-wise figures of the positive cases are 222 people in Thiruvananthapuram district, 98 in Ernakulam district, 81 in Palakkad district, 75 in Kollam district, 61 in Thrissur district, 57 in Kasaragod district, 52 in Alappuzha district, 49 in Idukki district, 35 in Pathanamthitta district, 32 in Kozhikode district, 25 in Malappuram district, 20 in Kottayam district, 13 in Kannur district, and one in Wayanad district.
Nafeesa, 75, from Uppala in Kasrgod, Kunjuveeran, 67, from Aluva, Ernakulam district were the two people who died, bringing the death toll to 42. Thirteen health workers were also found infected on the day.
