Sharjah, UAE : The 4th UAE-China Tyre & Auto Parts Expo officially opened today at Expo Centre Sharjah, Hall 1 & 3, ushering in a new chapter of cross-border collaboration, innovation, and trade between the UAE, China, and broader regions including the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Held under the theme “Driving Innovation and Trade,” the three-day event showcases over 300 international manufacturers and brands specializing in tyres, auto parts, electric vehicles (EVs), charging infrastructure, and aftermarket solutions. This year’s edition builds on the strong momentum of previous expos, which drew more than 10,000 trade visitors.
The expo is expected to attract close to 2,000 professional buyers and delegates from across Central Asia, South Asia, Europe, and Africa, with preliminary estimates already placing first-day intended transaction volumes at over $180 million. Total deals during the three-day event are projected to exceed $300 million, with tyres and auto components accounting for more than 60%. The surge in demand for new energy vehicles (NEVs) and related technologies also signals China’s growing dominance in sustainable mobility solutions.
China’s NEV exports now represent over 35% of global market share, aligning closely with the UAE’s Energy Strategy 2050, which focuses on clean energy and carbon reduction. The Expo serves as a vital platform for Chinese automotive and green tech manufacturers to integrate deeper into the region’s evolving transportation landscape.
To foster deeper commercial ties, the Shandong Provincial Government Economic and Trade Representative Office in West Asia and Africa facilitated pre-expo exchanges with local Shandong enterprises, offering market guidance to help businesses strengthen their footprint in the UAE and neighbouring markets.
Abdalla Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Expo Centre Sharjah, highlighted the event’s significance:
“This expo reaffirms the UAE’s position as a global hub for innovation and trade. The growing participation underscores the increasing demand for Chinese automotive technologies and the strategic synergy between our nations.”
Fa Wenyan, General Manager of Inter Commerce Expo Corporation, added:
“The UAE-China partnership is crucial to regional development. This platform not only boosts trade but accelerates the pace of technological advancement in the region.”
The grand inauguration commenced at 11:00 AM with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:11 AM, followed by a guided tour of the exhibition halls. The event welcomed a distinguished lineup of attendees from the diplomatic, government, and business sectors, including:
