COVID-19 has been confirmed for 2765 people in the state today. Outbreaks were reported in Kozhikode 399, Ernakulam 281, Malappuram 280, Thrissur 242, Kottayam 241, Kollam 236, Alappuzha 210, Pathanamthitta 206, Thiruvananthapuram 158, Kannur 128, Kasargod 109, Palakkad 101, Idukki 91 and Wayanad 83.
COVID-19 was confirmed in the last 24 hours by 4 people from the UK. Kovid-19 has so far been confirmed by 99 people from the UK (98) and South Africa (1). Of these, 82 tested negative. A total of 11 people were diagnosed with the genetically modified virus.
During the last 24 hours, 59,646 samples were tested. The test positivity rate is 4.64. A total of 1,16,50,019 samples have been sent for testing so far, including LAMP and antigen testing.
It has been confirmed that 15 deaths in the last few days are due to COVID-19. This brings the total death toll to 4,241.
Seventy of those diagnosed with the disease are from outside the State and 2,493 people were infected through contact. The contact source of 181 people is not clear. Kozhikode 380, Ernakulam 262, Malappuram 265, Thrissur 235, Kottayam 228, Kollam 232, Alappuzha 201, Pathanamthitta 184, Thiruvananthapuram 113, Kannur 89, Kasargod 94, Palakkad 45, Idukki 86 and Wayanad 79 were affected by the disease.
The disease affected 21 health workers. Health workers from Kannur 7, Kozhikode, Kasaragod 3 each, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Thrissur 2 each, Kottayam and Ernakulam 1 each were affected.
The test results of 4031 people who were diagnosed and treated were negative. Thiruvananthapuram 382, Kollam 561, Pathanamthitta 361, Alappuzha 112, Kottayam 272, Idukki 46, Ernakulam 509, Thrissur 307, Palakkad 111, Malappuram 405, Kozhikode 605, Wayanad 128, Kannur 180 and Kasaragod 52 had negative results today. With this, 45,995 people have been diagnosed with the disease and are still undergoing treatment. 10,16,515 people have so far been freed from COVID-19.
There are currently 1,98,672 people under surveillance in various districts of the state. Of these, 1,91,739 are under home / institutional quarantine and 6933 are under hospital surveillance. A total of 683 people were admitted to the hospital.
There is no new hotspot and no area is excluded from the hotspot. There are currently a total of 358 hotspots.
