123 confirmed with COVID-19 on June 25; 53 cured

One hundred and twenty-three people were confirmed with COVID-19 on June 25, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said in a press meeting after a meeting to take stock of the situation in the State.
It was for the seventh consecutive day that the number of infected have been confirmed to be above 100. Of those confirmed 84 had arrived from abroad and 33 from other States of the country. Six people got the infection through contact with infected people and 53 people were cured of the infection.
Of those who were confirmed with the virus, 24 are from Palakkad district, 18 from Alapuzha district, 13 each from Pathanmthitta and Kollam districts, 10 each from Ernakulam and Thrissur districts, nine from Kannur district seven from Kozhikode district, six from Malappuram district, four from Kasaragod district three from Idukki district two each from Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam and Wayanad districts
The State was able to arrest the spread of COVID through contact and this was a big achievement, the Chief Minister said. The measures in place would continue and the State has to be vigilant to test all those who arrive from abroad, he said. The Chief Minister asked the people to keep a dairy to keep track of the places that they visit and people they meet during such outings.
