Abu Dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held high-level discussions with Aleksandar Vučić, President of the Republic of Serbia, in Abu Dhabi on Monday, focusing on deepening bilateral ties and expanding strategic cooperation between the two nations.
Welcoming President Vučić — who is on a working visit to the UAE — at Qasr Al Watan, Sheikh Mohamed expressed optimism that the visit would further enhance the growing partnership between the UAE and Serbia.
During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the current state of UAE-Serbia relations and explored avenues for greater collaboration, particularly in sectors such as economy, investment, development, renewable energy, and food security. Both sides expressed their shared goal of accelerating growth and achieving sustainable prosperity.
They also exchanged views on key regional and international developments, with a particular focus on the evolving situation in the Middle East. The leaders underscored the need for intensified diplomatic efforts to restore stability in the region and to promote peace and development globally.
The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and fostering long-term economic partnerships. This aligns with the goals of the UAE–Serbia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), which came into effect in May 2025, aiming to increase trade volumes and support mutual economic growth.
Among the Emirati officials present were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; and Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs and the Abu Dhabi Executive Office. UAE Ambassador to Serbia Ahmed Al Menhali and Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Eagle Hills Abu Dhabi, also attended, along with members of the Serbian delegation.
President Vučić arrived in the UAE on Sunday night for the official working visit.
