Thiruvanthapuram man beats wife to death, arrested

Thiruvananthapuram: Police arrested Varkala native Aneesh for bludgeoning his wife to death using a lamp in the wee hours of Tuesday. The deceased is Alappuzha native Nigitha. The incident happened around 2:00 AM. The couple had an argument which ended up in the crime, said reports. The woman was rushed to Varkala Taluk Hospital but succumbed to injuries.

The marriage of the couple happened three months back only. They were abroad and reached the native place just 10 days back for Aneesh’s treatment
