The wait is over: Liverpool crowned as champions

They have won the title with seven games remaining. Liverpool waited 30 years to clinch its 19th league title.

After Liverpool secured victory, the team’s jubilant coach Jurgen Klopp break down in tears. “It’s such a big moment, I am completely overwhelmed,” said Jurgen Klopp. Klopp is the first German manager to win the Premier League.

It was Willian’s 78th-minute penalty that helped Chelsea beat Manchester City. Chelsea beat second-place Manchester City 2-1. Liverpool have broken joint record held by Manchester United and City for fastest win. Liverpool were last champions of England when they won the old First Division title in 1989-90
