The ‘Baby Shark” is now the most viewed video in You Tube history

The video for children’s song ‘Baby Shark’ has a new record. This cute and ultra-catchy children’s song has become the most-watched video on You Tube, with more than seven billion views. Released on June 17, 2016, the song is created by a South Korean’s children’s educational company Pinkfong.

“Baby Shark” became an international hit as it acquired the 32nd spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in January 2019. The catchy tune of the song and its vibrant visuals have caught the fancy of many toddlers and their parents. It also made it to the UK Top 40 list.

Within four years, the children’s song has managed to dethrone Luis Fonsi’s 2017 song “Despacito” which previously held the record of the most-viewed video on YouTube.

The original writer of Baby Shark is unclear. It has been a nursery rhyme-but it became a global phenomenon after being recorded by a 10-year-old Korean-American singer Hope Segoine.

The two-minute long video song features some animated baby sharks underwater and children singing ‘Baby Shark doo doo doo doo’ in unision .

The catchy song got so popular that The Washington National baseball team took it up as their anthem. When they went on to win the World Series in 2019, the song was played in the White House during the celebrations
